Wild and crazy summer...vacation

We started off in Martin's Cove.

Our only neighbors in the campground were the antelope.

Then we went to South Dakota. We saw Mount Rushmore.

We drove Highway 16A, wandered through Custer State Park and followed the Needles Highway. Beautiful! The man who designed and built the road found the most beautiful vistas and then created the road to get to them. I highly recommend that drive. It was my favorite part of the trip. I lost all idea of time when we started driving Highway 16A.

Mount Rushmore from Highway 16A.

The smallest tunnel on the Needles Highway. It was 8 feet 4 inches wide. We let Hannah drive it, and we were nearly scared to death. Not because of her driving, but because we didn't realize how close the walls would be.

We saw lots and lots of Buffalo...

And prairie dogs...

And rabbits...

And wild donkeys...

And Fred, the goat.

The Badlands

Devil's Tower. We also saw Little Bighorn, but I didn't get photos.

Did I say we saw buffalo?
Those are our tents in the background. This was at Yellowstone.
Maggie kept Sean and Shellece busy looking for "buflo."

The Beehive Geyser went off at the same time as Old Faithful.

 Isn't she beautiful?

Jenny Lake in the Tetons

The Payson Utah Temple!

We also spent time with the kids in Rexburg, saw the Manti Pageant, spent time with family in Utah, and went to the Bright family reunion.
