So, Tom was certain the polls opened at 7 am because he remembered they did in California while he was growing up. We arrived at our poll bright and early at 7:30 am...to find they were still closed. Rearrange the schedule just a bit...go grocery shopping instead, then come back to the polling place.
We arrived back at our location at exactly 8:05 am...and there was a huge line! It took us 40 minutes to vote, but we were glad we'd done it early and wouldn't have to worry about it the rest of the day.
We are so blessed to live in a country where we can express our opinions and take part in selecting our leaders. Such a wonderful freedom we enjoy.
I thought they opened at 7 too....wait I'm in a different state than you :) okay so i went to vote at 11 a.m. ish. We ARE lucky to live with these freedoms!!
